I'm considering buying a L3400Dt with loader. The salesman said the L3130 is $1200 more, but is much more tractor.According to the specs., the L3400 has more hp, and more pto hp.The L3130 has more creature comforts, but the L3400 seems to have all that I need. I own an L245DT now, so either of these machines will be a vast improvement over what I'm used to. Any input?

The L-3400 would be more like the tractor that you own now only with a whole bunch of improvements. The Grand L series does have some nice additional features but not always needed to get the job done. You would enjoy the L-3400 to know end although if you have plans to train another operator for use of the tractor then you might prefer the different transmission options of the Grand L. ....

Toolshed - I tried both before I bought my 3130. They both would have the la723 loader & same 90 backhoe. So as far as lifting & loader work, there's no difference. The only thing you get with the 3430 is a little more rear wheel Hp but I must say the 3130 has plenty & I have been satisfied with it. Good luck, You'll be happy with either CUT. ....
